Elaine and Delores by Caroline Roddey

This week my team, TSB (Team Straight Backwards) was working at Elaine Holloway and Dolores Leak's homes. We did mostly yardwork, but today we are painting Ms. Holloways porch and steps and doing some cement patching. OUr team is: Laura Miles, Caroline Roddey, Stephen Heeseman and Walker Simas. We are an excited group, but we worked hard and got everything done. While we were on a snack break, Ms. Holloway would tell us stories about how she was a foster grandparent. She has 4 boys of her own and helps raise Jackie, a girl that is going into the 10th grade. I feel like this week our MPPC group has bonded a lot and enjoyed each other. I'm sad to leave Pittsburgh, but at the same time--excited to be home.
